Do your eyes feel dry, gritty, and irritated - or look tired, red, and worn out?

You may be one of the estimated 30 million Americans living with undiagnosed dry eye disease.

In recent years, our understanding of dry eye disease has evolved significantly. The release of the Dry Eye Workshop (DEWS) II Report in 2017 not only recognized dry eye as a chronic, progressive, and multifactorial disease, but revolutionized its evaluation and treatment.

Many patients come to us after years of feeling discouraged - doing everything their doctor recommended, yet still struggling with tired, uncomfortable eyes. That's because traditional therapies, like artificial tears or prescription eye drops, often provide temporary symptom relief, but not a true solution.

At See La Vie, we do things differently. Our detailed medical evaluation assesses factors to uncover the real reason your eyes look and feel this way and find a treatment plan that actually works!

Our 30-Minute Consultation Includes:

Medical + Lifestyle Assessment

We’ll take time to understand your symptoms, health history, screen time, medications, allergies, environment, skincare, and nutrition — all of which can affect tear quality, ocular comfort, and your appearance

High Resolution Imaging
Using non-invasive technology, we evaluate your:

  • Meibomian (oil) glands
  • Tear film quality and quantity
  • Blink mechanics and tear evaporation rate
  • Corneal and conjunctival health

Ocular Surface Evaluation
At See La Vie, we use gentle, ophthalmic-safe dyes - fluorescein and lissamine green during your dry eye evaluation to help us see what your tears can't always tell us.

🟡 Fluorescein Fluorescein is a yellow-orange dye that glows under a blue light to highlight advanced signs of dry eye:

  • Detect microscopic damage and dry spots on the cornea
  • Assess tear breakup time: how quickly the tears evaporate after a blink

🟢 Lissamine Green Lissamine green is a soft green dye that highlights early signs of dry eye:

  • Damaged or unprotected cells on the white of the eye and inner eyelids
  • Areas where the tear film isn’t providing enough protection

Tailored Treatment Plan
We’ll walk you through your results and design a step-by-step plan based on your goals — whether you need lifestyle changes, a home care regimen, spa-based treatments, or advanced therapies like OptiLight and OptiLift.
